Animal Disease Detection

Infectious illness outbreaks (such as cattle infections) have received extensive media coverage recently. The most prevalent example is the African swine fever, which claimed countless lives, forced the culling of millions of animals, and ultimately caused enormous economic damage.
Animals with illnesses add to farm expenses by raising medical expenses, decreasing output, and diminishing profitability, especially when the condition results in early death.
Early disease detection can enable quick response to address illness before it worsens or spreads to other animals. Such indications have traditionally been detected through human observation, either in person or through video recordings.
This procedure is difficult and time-consuming and obviously has accuracy and practicality issues.
Description
he Intelligent Dairy Farm Assistant (IDA) is the product of combining AI and motion sensors, two cutting-edge technologies. A motion sensor attached to the animal’s neck as part of the IDA system transmits information about the animal's movements.
The AI algorithm receives the movements of the animal from the motion-sensing device. The sensor information is saved and coordinated with the animal's actual behavior. Once sufficient data has been gathered, the AI can ascertain the physical movement of the animal simply by reading the data.
The AI is able to assess whether the animal is sick, ready to breed, or has grown less productive using the most recent data from motion sensors and its comparison.
Additionally, the AI notifies the farmer via alerts when the behavior of the animal changes, enabling human intervention as necessary. Farmers can quickly identify and stop disease outbreaks by becoming aware of such anomalous behaviors with the aid of big data and machine learning (ML).
Farmers who have been informed can then act quickly to stop the illness from spreading further. A strategy like this avoids financial losses while saving many animal lives.
